Upon reaching the bottom of the 1.2 mile hike to High Shoals Falls, I made the turn to see the falls and was taken aback. Photographs did not convey the size of the falls. Standing on the viewing deck, I opted to paint just a section of the falls. 1.2 miles down to get there, 1.2 miles back up with a painting strapped to my backpack.
